Crafting Compelling SMS Messages: Adding and Editing Templates

The Simple Touch control panel empowers you to design and manage SMS message templates, forming the foundation of your mobile marketing campaigns. This section will guide you through creating new SMS templates and editing existing ones:

Building a New SMS Template:

1. Initiate the Process: Locate the "Add SMS Template" button, typically positioned conveniently in the top right corner of the screen displaying your existing templates. Clicking this button opens the SMS editor screen.

2. Template Essentials: The editor screen allows you to define the core elements of your new SMS template:

   • Template Code: Assign a unique code for internal reference purposes.
   • Template Description (Multi-lingual): Craft clear and concise descriptions for your template in both languages relevant to your customer base.
   • Test Phone Number (Optional): Enter a test phone number to use for previewing your SMS message before sending it out to a wider audience.

3. Crafting Your Message: Here's where you personalize your SMS content:

   • SMS Body: Compose the core message you want to deliver to your customers. The text box offers a powerful feature: preset variable functions. These allow you to personalize your message by including dynamic elements that change for each recipient, such as their name, current points balance, or the number of points rewarded/redeemed.

4. Finalizing Your Template: Once you've meticulously configured all aspects of your SMS template, click the "Save" button positioned at the bottom of the screen to add your new template to your library.
